Nicholas Brendon, who was widely known for playing the funny and loyal character Xander Harris in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, passed away on Friday, 20 March 2026 at the age of 54. He died of natural causes after struggling with a heart condition he was born with, along with other health problems in recent years.
His family announced his death through a statement shared on his social media accounts. They mentioned that although Nicholas had faced difficulties in the past, he was taking medication for his condition and remained hopeful about the future at the time of his passing.
“He was passionate, sensitive, and endlessly driven to create,” the family stated. “Those who truly knew him understood that his art was one of the purest reflections of who he was.”
