England won the match by 2 wickets in their T20 World Cup Super 8 match. Brook scored 100 off just 51 deliveries as England became the first team to reach the semifinals.
Shaheen Afridi took four wickets. At beginning Sahibzada Farhan’s superb 63 helped Pakistan post 164/9 in 20 overs. For England, Liam Dawson was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Jofra Archer and Jamie Overton claimed two each.
Chasing 165 for victory, England rode on Brook’s magnificent 100 off just 51 balls, studded with 10 fours and four sixes, to overhaul the target in 19.1 overs. It was a knock of composure, power and timing, especially after England had been rocked early by Shaheen Shah Afridi.
